Pre-season football friendly at Bracknell Leisure Centre, 30/07/2022 at 1pm
30th of July 2022, saw 14 of the Bracknell Panthers FC head out in their new kits for their first pre-season football friendly against Spencers Wood Warriors.
For majority of the first half both teams looked evenly matched with end to end action.
The players from both teams seemed determined, and despite the warm temperature, made some great passes and shots on goal that were skilfully saved by the keepers from both teams.
However, a few minutes before the end of the first half, it was the Warriors who successfully scored the first goal.
The first half ended with Spencers Wood Warriors 1-0 ahead.
After an encouraging half time talk from their coaches, the boys headed back onto the pitch with the desire to achieve some goals of their own.
This wasn’t as easy as they’d hoped as the Warriors came back onto the pitch with equal desire.
Spencers Wood Warriors managed to score another 3 goals before Thomas finally scored a goal for the Bracknell Panthers FC.
With renewed hope and determination, Panthers continued to bombard the Warriors, who continued to stay just as strong in their game.
This strength paid off as it was the Warriors, who once again put the ball in the net.
However, the Panthers’ players didn’t give up and a couple of minutes later were rewarded with a second goal from Keon.
The action continued with some outstanding shots from several of the Panthers’ players.
Not just those upfront but from those in midfield too. It was fantastic to see them taking the opportunity to take a shot!
However, the Warriors didn’t give up either and managed to slot a final goal into the net, leaving them victorious, despite a valiant effort from the Panthers.
It was a great football match in Bracknell, and some valuable insights into what can be worked on during trainings over the next few weeks.
Every result makes and shapes the team, things can be learnt from every football game.
Well done to both teams!
