Why the Panthers

Football taken seriously, not solemnly

We play in Thames Valley Premier League Division 4, a proper league with a proper table, referees, and something on the line every week. If you want competitive football rather than a Sunday kickabout, that's what this is.

Training is planned and position-specific, run by coaching staff who hold UEFA B qualifications and have worked at this level for years. You'll be coached, not just picked.

And the bit that actually keeps players at a club: the group. We're a mixed squad - different ages, backgrounds and day jobs, who compete hard and get on with each other. New players get brought into it rather than left standing on the edge of it.

What You Get

A proper football environment, not a WhatsApp group and a set of bibs.

🏆

Real Competition

Thames Valley Premier League Division 4, a genuinely competitive grassroots league with a table worth looking at on a Sunday morning.

🎓

Qualified Coaching

UEFA B qualified staff with years at this level. Sessions are planned and position-specific, built to make you a better player rather than to fill an hour.

🤝

A Squad You'll Like

Competitive on the pitch, genuinely welcoming off it. Everyone here was the new player once, and it shows in how new signings get treated.

🎥

Every Game Recorded

We film every match and shoot photography most weeks. Your goals, your assists, your clips, there to watch back, learn from and keep.

A Season That Runs

Home games on 4G and winter training on it too, so you get the match minutes you signed up for instead of a fixture backlog every spring.

📍

Local and Easy

Based in Bracknell, everything in one place. No 40-minute drives to a different park pitch every other week.

One thing worth knowing

Our home games don't get called off

Grassroots football round here loses a chunk of every winter to waterlogged pitches. Our home pitch is 4G, so it drains and we play on it in December, January and February. Away games depend on the opposition's pitch, like everyone else's, but half your season stops being a lottery.

Who we're looking for

If you can play, we want to hear from you

We're strengthening the senior squad across the pitch for 2026/27, and we're particularly keen to hear from:

  • ✅ Goalkeepers and centre-backs
  • ✅ Wide players who can go past a defender
  • ✅ Anyone 16 or over with decent fitness and the right attitude
  • ✅ Returning players coming back after a season or two out
  • ✅ New to the area and looking for a club

You don't need to have played at a high level. You do need to turn up, work, and want to get better. We'll judge you on a session, not a CV.

How to Join

Three steps. No trial fee, no obligation.

1

WhatsApp us

Quickest way to reach us, and the one we answer fastest. Tell us your position, your rough age and when you last played. That is all we need to get you into a session, usually the same week.

2

Come and train

We will invite you to a training night. October to March we are on the 4G, so bring moulded studs or astro trainers; over the summer we move back to grass and normal boots are fine. Bring a drink, and see how you get on with us.

3

Get involved

If it works for both sides, we will sort your league registration and get you into the matchday squad. From there you are one of us: training every week, in the group chat, and available for selection on a Saturday.

Ready when you are

Trials are open now for the 2026/27 season.

Common Questions

What standard is the team?

Thames Valley Premier League Division 4, competitive Saturday open-age football. Good players, played properly, without the politics of a higher level.

Is there a trial fee?

No. Come to a session, see how you get on, and there's no obligation on either side.

I'm 16, can I play?

Yes. Our senior squad is open age from 16 upwards, subject to the usual league registration rules for younger players.

I've not played for a few years.

That's most of the people who contact us. Come to a session and build up. Nobody is expecting you to be match-fit in week one.

What boots do I need?

It depends on the time of year. We train on the 4G from October to March, where moulded studs or astro trainers work and metal blades and screw-ins are not allowed. Over the summer we train on grass, so normal boots are fine. Bring what you have for a first session and we'll advise.

When and where do you train?

In Bracknell, under floodlights. October to March we are on the 4G, and over the summer we move onto grass. Get in touch and we'll give you the current night and time.
